Practical Issues in Radioimmunotherapy
for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma: Proceedings
from a CE Symposium at the ONS 2002
Annual Congress.
Radioimmunotherapy (RIT) for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma presents numerous challenges and learning opportunities for oncology nurses. In the administration of radioimmunotherapy regimens, oncology nurses may be responsible for, among other duties: drug administration, logistics, and scheduling; patient education, management, and follow-up; and radiation safety. A thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the oncology nurse's role in RIT is essential to the delivery of the highest standard of care. CE credits are available for participation in this educational program.
